🔒 Our Core Principle

All AI processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos and personal data never leave your device or your personal iCloud account. No external servers process your photos.

📸 What Data We Access

• Photos & Videos: Accessed locally for AI analysis and organization. Never uploaded anywhere.
• Location Data: Used to show photos on maps and group by location. Stays on device.
• Microphone: For voice search only. Audio is processed on-device and not stored.
• Speech Recognition: Converts voice to text locally using Apple's on-device speech recognition.

Lucent's AI features include:

• Smart photo collections
• Duplicate detection
• Quality & aesthetic analysis
• Object and scene recognition
• Text recognition (OCR)
• Natural language search

All AI runs on-device using Apple's Neural Engine. No data is transmitted to external servers.

💾 Data Storage

• Local Storage: All app data is stored on your device.
• iCloud Sync: Optional sync of preferences and collection metadata (not photos) via your personal iCloud account.
• No External Servers: We do not operate servers that store or process your data.

📍 Third-Party Services

• Google Maps SDK: Used only to display the photo map view. Google receives map tile requests but no photo data.
• Apple Services: Standard iOS frameworks for Photos, Speech Recognition, and CloudKit (your iCloud).

⚖️ Your Rights

• Full Control: Manage all permissions in iOS Settings.
• Data Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all app-generated data.
• Feature Control: Enable or disable individual AI features anytime.
• GDPR & CCPA Compliant: We collect no personal data, so there's nothing to request or delete.
